If you can't think of a good name for an Elf/Centaur/Dwarf, go to Barrowdowns' name generators. ^_^ (Note- Elvish names and Centaurvish names are the same... The downs are good for hobbit names, as well.)
Elves-
Elves are thought to be the wisest and fairest of all creatures. They can only be killed in battle- sickness and age do not affect them. They are master craftsmen and artisans, making beautiful music and art, as well as swords and armor. They are ruled by a king and queen, descended on the woman's side from the ancient Elvish Lord Finrodwe. Usually, they prefer to use staffs, bows and arrows, and swords in battle, though they are able to use any weapon. Are more often tall than not, and are fair of hair and skin, though dark hair and skin is not unheard of. Have pointed ears and live in the forests of Diu. (Lonhwi (Au'Centilial), Tulhwi (Tivalahrise), Imhwi (Mirumihera), Sylvhwi (Sapheria) and Azryl- the Eastern, Western, Southern, and Northern woods. Azryl happens to be the Central woods- where the forces of each race meet.) They follow the Elven deity, Enmerith, and her three handmaidens- Laprien of the Fire, Saleiwen of the Water, and Xianhraiel of the Wind.
Popular Elvish Names- Arwen, Galadriel, Donathradiel, Táraechoir, Gorwing, Nuquernahyando, Maltalossë, Hallaathrad, Pellakal

Centaurs-
Centaurs rival the elves when it comes to wisdom. Their average life span is around 50,000 years- one of the longest life spans in Diu. Centaurs are master artists- they, like the elves, as expert cloak makers and musicians. But they are a less-than-warrior race, so, to be blunt, they suck at making weaponry and armor, which has induced bartering with the elves- mostly for bows and arrows. Are ruled by a king and queen as well, descended from Onri- the Ancient Centaurvish king. Average about 5'9'' in height, though this varies. Hair varies to any color, as does the eyes. They too have pointed ears and live in the forest. They have formed a close kinship with the elves.

Vampires-
Vampires can live as long as they have someone to feed off of- they usually tempt or hypnotize people of other races into being their companions- and allowing the Vampires to feed off of them. For this, none but the mermaids really trust vampire enough to look into their eyes (even the weakest of Vampires have the power of Hypnotism) or turn their backs to them- mainly because Mermaidic blood is poisonous to Vampires. They're a race of warriors, though come across as soft-spoken, kind beings. Do not be fooled. The traditional weapon of choice is a sword, though they can make do with anything- from a crossbow of the finest make to a rock to burning embers. They barter with the Dwarves for armor, as their lands are barren of mithril and steel. They are ruled by a queen, always descended directly from Lariest, the ancient Vampiric Queen. They have formed an alliance with the Dragonite, in recent years. Majority reside in the mountains of Cluhwan (known as Miray to Man), though quite a few are abroad. Are usually dark of hair and eye- though quite a few Vampires fair of hair are known throughout Diu.
Popular Vampiric Names: Alexander, Alyssa, Tobias, Lari, Tori

Mermaids-
Mermaids rival the elves and vampires in beauty- though they are far too trusting, almost to the point of being naive. Mermaids have a life-span of 4,900 years. They are artists, making underwater sculptures of above-water wonders that would amaze even the wisest of all creatures. When provoked, they become almost warlike. They typically fight with spears and magic, since it'd be rather tedious lugging a sword around underwater. Mermaids can go up onto dry land, but only for three days at a time. After being out for three days, they must completely submerge themselves in water for one hour, lest they dry out and collapse into dust. Mermaids are ruled by an entire family- believing that all point of views are needed before a decision is made. The family that seems model is always elected. Their hair and eyes span all colors. They are kind to the Vampires, mainly because they cannot be harmed by them. At least, not for their blood.
Popular Mermaidic Names: Twa, Mhiyn, Salei, Lorcal, Tsuki

Witches and Wizards-
Wizards and Witches are humans with extraordinary powers. They're immortal, and can only die if slain in battle. They're nomadic- traveling Diu, searching for lore of the different races. Most use staffs and swords in battle. Hair varies to all human colors, as does the eyes. They greatly rival the elves' wisdom. Wizards and Witches are ruled by a Council, headed up by the most powerful being of all. Sahqueca has been the Witchtin for thousands of years- even before Anthiril came into the world. Most specialize in a single element, though the strongest have been known to control up to three.
Popular Wizard and Witch Names: Sahqueca, Kaguyu, Kailoga, Aaliyah, Shakira, Ashanti

Halflings-
Halflings are a merry folk. They don't compete with any of the races for best cloaks or music- they are in a league of their own with their own skills. Many Halflings are expert pick-pocketers. Their average life-span is rather short, 169 years, at the most. However, they make the most of these years. Contrary to popular belief, Halflings are often small and streamlined. As legend goes, they step lighter than elves, and can move faster than centaurs, when needed. They don't have any particular weapon of choice.
Popular Halfling Names: Rose(mary), Torq, Meriadoc, Peregrin, Elanor, Belldandy, Melody, Nob, Eglatine, Samwise, Adamanta, Holfast, Esmerelda, Will, Marmadoc, Doderic, Belladonna, Freddy, Gilly, Rowan

Dragonite-
Dragonite are the Elves main competition when it comes to beauty. They all take on the appearance of extraordinarily good looking humans- long vibrant hair, beautiful eyes... except for the dragon wings. Dragonite are, as you suspect, dragon people! Their weapon of choice isn't fire breath, though, as none of them hold this capability. They usually use maces or bows and arrows. They aren't very good at the Arts- being an extremely warlike people. Their clothes are typically of human make, though rather tattered and charred. They're ruled by the Dragon Master, the only being in Diu with the ability to control dragons, descended from Ulugri, the first Dragon Master. Their life-span is normally around 6,000 years, though some have been said to live up to 8,000. They get on fairly well with the Vampires, but don't really care for Elves or Centaurs. Are usually tall and slim in build, reaching an average height of 6'1''. Other races, even the Vampires, look upon them as barbarians- which is quite untrue. When away from enemies, the Dragonite are a very friendly race. Even the weakest of Dragonite has the ability to speak to dragons. Majority reside on Cluhwan or the Misty Mountains.
Popular Dragonite Names: Kily, Kyli, Kitrana, Khrain

Humans-
Humans are the dominate race of Diu, which is quite surprising. Their life-spans are amazingly short- nearly always under 100 years. Their clothes are simple cotton or deer hide. Their hair varies from black to gray to red to brown to blonde. Their eyes are usually gray, but can also be blue, green and brown. They have no specific weapon of choice- being capable of using them all. They have an obscure government- they have no single leader. Rather, every different country has a different king, which rather puzzles the other races. In the realm of Myntas, the decendent of Alagon rules, while is T'Dal, they are always ruled by the blood of Senae. They are fairly good at making armor- though their's pales in comparison to the make of other races. They are almost a prejudice race, finding reasons to dislike Mermaids (too wet), Elves (live too long), and Centaurs (horse-people).
Popular Human Names: Alexander, William, Alagon, Senae, Senaae, Aragorn, Arathorn, Teri, Sarah, Erin

Dwarves-
Typically short and stocky in build. Their life-spans are unremarkable- 900 years, tops. They are amazing architects and craftsmen, carving wondrous things out of rock and gold.  Expert mithril workers, and have an odd fondness of Mermaids. Their hair and eyes are human colored. They more often than not use maces and axes in battle- more than half refuse to touch bows and arrows. Dwarves adore gems. They barter with the Vampires quite extensively- mostly giving up mithril for rubies or emeralds. Their typical dress is armor. That's right, armor. All year around. The men grow long beards, though the women are virtually hairless. (Excluding head hair...) There are two types, mountain dwarves and tunnel dwarves. The mountain dwarves, called Khalyn by their tunnel brothers, reside in the Misty Mountains (stolen from LOTR- an incredible book series. Read them! Now!), while the tunnelers reside deep under Cluhwan- where the Vampires cannot reach. (Though the Khalyn trade with the vampires, the tunnelers have an almost irrational fear of them.) The Khalyn are fiercer than their artisan tunnel brothers.
Popular Dwarvish Names: Pwan, Kli, Gimli, Thorin, Fili, Kili, Nalin, Dori, Parin, Pîm, Gundin, Porin, Thrór
